What To Do

DEPARTING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place all used towels in the bathtub or shower.
- Please DO NOT strip any of the beds or wash any linens used. We take all linens off site to a professional laundry facility.
- Start the dishwasher. Please use the provided dishwasher pods and NOT​ the dish soap.
- Turn off all lights.
- Close and lock all doors and windows.
- Throw away any perishable food items.
- Bag all trash and deposit into the trash bin outside.
- If checking out early, please notify us via email or a message as this helps schedule our cleaning team accordingly.
WiFi

The wifi modem is located on the wall in the laundry room on the middle floor. If the internet is not functioning properly, please go to the wifi modem, unplug the power to it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and allow 3 minutes to start. If that doesn’t do the trick, please contact us, your host. We will then call the internet provider to understand what is going on. Sometimes there are outages in the area in which case we will inform you of the estimated outage time.
Parking
Please do not park on the grass. There are fragile plumbing items buried near the driveway.
Fire Extinguishers
There is a fire extinguisher mounted in the common area on each of the three floors.
Main Water Shutoff
If you ever experience an emergency water situation and need to turn the water off to the entire home, the main water shutoff valve is located in the basement garage under the stairs on the left.
Breaker Box
The home’s breaker box is located in the laundry room on the middle floor. There is a breaker identification sheet on the wall. If certain parts of the home do not have electricity, a breaker may have been tripped. It can be reset at the breaker box by flipping the tripped breaker off and back to the on position. If the breaker trips again, please let us know immediately as there may be an electrical issue we need to address.
Trash
Trash and recycle cans are located at the front of the garage. Please ensure cans are left OUTSIDE the garage at all times so our trash service always has access to them.
Fire Places / Fire Pit
LIVING ROOM FIREPLACE:
The fireplace is turned on by the “fire igniter” switch located on the wall to the left of the fireplace. The pilot light always stays lit. Please do not attempt to turn off the gas. If the gas happens to go out, the pilot light will need to be relit by the controls behind the panel located underneath the fireplace.
BILLIARD ROOM FIREPLACE:
The fireplace is turned on by the “fire igniter” switch located on the wall to the left of the fireplace. The pilot light always stays lit. Please do not attempt to turn off the gas. If the gas happens to go out, the pilot light will need to be relit by the controls behind the panel located underneath the fireplace.
BACKPORCH FIREPIT:
Guests are welcome to enjoy a fire. The fire must be put out completely after use. There is an ash bucket and scoop to help keep the firepit tidy.
*We do not supply firewood. Firewood can be purchased at the White House Corner Store.
Routine Home Services
LANDSCAPING, SPA, AND PEST CONTROL SERVICE:
A landscape service maintains the yard once a month.
A spa technician services the spa at least once a week and after every guest departs.
A pest control service sprays the exterior of the home every other month.
**Please DO NOT tell them to come back another time. It is very important to let them service our home to keep it fresh for you and future guests.**
Grill
To operate the grill:
1. Located underneath the grill, turn propane tank valve ON (open).
2. Open lid.
3. Press and turn the knob(s) counter-clockwise to get the gas flowing.
4. Press the ignitor button (black button) to ignite the flames.
5. Please turn off the grill and turn off propane tank valve when not in use.
If ignitor button does not start the flame, please use a long reach lighter to ignite.
A grill brush is located by the grill. BBQ utensils are located in a kitchen drawer.
Please use the propane tank until it is completely empty. An extra propane tank is located in close proximity.
Spa Operation
The spa is operated by the panel on the spa itself.
Please put the cover back on when you are done using.
In the event you may need to access the hot tub’s breaker, it is located on the exterior wall right next to the hot tub.
Bathrooms
Each bathroom contains a hair dryer, extra rolls of toilet paper, a toilet brush, and a plunger.
Sometimes the G.F.C.I outlets are tripped resulting in the electrical plugs to not work. Press the reset button on the outlet to restore power.
PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH PAPER TOWELS, SANITARY PRODUCTS, TISSUES, OR WIPES!
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with everything you should need. If you feel something is missing please message us as items tend to disappear from time to time.
TVs
All of the TVs in the house are internet connected. LG provides live channels and the standard set of streaming applications are downloaded. Please login to your streaming app of choice and be sure to log out before you depart.
